Network Restored

We sincerely regret our network outage.

The network is fully restored.

The outage was cased by actions of an AT&T technician. The nature of his actions made it very difficult to trace the error.

We will work towards adding redundancies to our network.

Again, we sincerely regret the outage.

Wellness at Work - WeightChart Together Services for Employers

We continue to develop WeightChart Together (SM) services for employers, schools, wellness professionals, and other groups.
Our WeightChart Together services for employers take a very simple approach with great benefits. The basic premise is that wellness need not require large expense or time commitment. WeightChart Together services for employers can be started at a very low one-time costs of as little as $10 per employee. These low costs can waived, if needed.

Our analysis shows that wellness tracking is one of the biggest components of success with wellness. WeightChart.com offers a simple and quick way to track weight and nearly any other wellness metric. One can choose from a dozen predefined metrics or quickly define their own using WeightChart Trackables.
Studies show that employees do not wish to share their weight, blood pressure, and other wellness data with their employers or health insurance companies. WeightChart Together services for employers share only aggregate data with employers. The employers can see the huge returns on their investments without the access to personal data.

Improved Logging, Fewer Errors

We have recently improved logging of errors from the browser.   This has allowed us to have new visibility into errors that occurred within the browser.  We have corrected a couple of important errors.

Our web pages have a large amount of script code that runs within the browser.  Until now, many errors with this script were not trapped or logged.  The reasons is that the script itself needed to load before the error could be trapped or logged.  We have updated this system to phone home with more often.  We can now have some visibility into errors where the pages did not load completely.

Please let us know if you see any errors trying to use the site.

We Continue to Upgrade Growth Charts

In recent days, we have added many new features that are targeted for growing children. You can select an account to be for a growing child either when you create the account or via the Preferences page.

Growth charts allow you to specify weight, height, and head circumference. The charts show your percentile based on the CDC data. These percentile curves are same as the ones used by pediatricians. You are also able show statistics for your weight relative to your height.

Now, you are able create Trackables for other things that your want to track for growing children.

Once children grow up, they can switch their account to Weight Chart and yet keep all of the historical growth data.

We also invite you to explore the same charts and statistics before you sign up at the following link:

WeightChart Trackables have been rolled out during past few months. In addition to your weight, notes, and feeling indicators, WeightChart trackables allow you to start tracking nearly anything. There are predefined trackables for glasses of water, blood pressure, glucose, etc. But, it is quick and easy to define your own trackables.

Until now, you could only see the Trackable values in the table view. Now, you can add graphs of the Trackables to visualize you progress. This is a great addition; try it!

Chart Trackables, other new features

Thank you for being a WeightChart.com user. Today we've rolled out a really nice batch of changes for you.

  • Trackables have been moved from Preferences to the main page because as of now...
You can chart them! It's our new favorite feature (sorry Photo Timeline) to be able to see things like hours of sleep, and glasses of water in line with weight and feeling indicators. What a great way to detect patterns and the relationship between different wellness factors. Once you've filled in a few Trackable entries (from your normal Enter Weight form) have a click on Options to see this information on your chart.
  • Who is 'username3882'? Let others see your real name instead of your login name. For the Chart Sharing and Together pages if you've provided your real name that's what shows up for others to see.
  • We've upgraded the ? help popups to provide more information in a clearer way. If you think we should add to or improve the help on our site send us a message at info@WeightChart.com.
  • Now Together groups with lots of members (like over 100) are possible. Before this change things were a little too sluggish for our large groups. The Together summary, below the chart, is now the place to go to add/remove people from the chart. We've added a last entry date column to the summary, it's handy to sort by to see who's made recent changes.
  • As we increase the capabilities of WeightChart the effort of doing more can begin to slow things down. In this release we've optimized many pages to load and run faster, in some cases it's a dramatic change. We hope you've never thought about performance on WeightChart, improvements like this are made so you won't.
